Peter M. Zollman, the founding principal of the AIM Group, has always striven to innovate.  At AIM Group, the focus on innovation and market intelligence has been a driving force since its founding nearly three decades ago. Under Peter’s leadership, the company has evolved from a consultancy helping newspapers adapt to classified advertising changes into a global leader in providing business intelligence across various marketplaces, including automotive, real estate, and the burgeoning resale industry.

Founded 29 years ago, AIM Group was inspired by Peter’s deep involvement in what was then known as new media. Drawing from his extensive experience, including a significant executive role at Time Warner’s interactive television project, Peter recognized the need for businesses to adapt to rapidly changing media landscapes. His vision for AIM Group was clear – to empower businesses with the insights and intelligence needed to thrive in digital marketplaces.  AIM Group now has over 45 team members on six continents, and clients on six continents as well.

The mission of AIM Group is to provide actionable intelligence that enables clients to navigate the complexities of their industries effectively. This commitment is reflected in their new product launch, Recommerce Intelligence, aimed at the reselling market, which is rapidly growing and expected to surpass traditional retail growth rates.

AIM Group's Recommerce Intelligence exemplifies Peter’s forward-thinking approach.  As the resale industry continues to grow, this new offering will provide critical insights for businesses involved in recommerce, enabling them to adapt to evolving consumer behaviors and market demands.  The launch of this product is part of AIM Group's broader strategy to remain at the forefront of industry trends and challenges.

Peter’s leadership style is characterized by a commitment to empowering his team. He believes in hiring talented individuals who are smarter than himself and giving them the autonomy to excel in their roles. "I try hard to find people smarter than I am and then turn them loose," he emphasizes, highlighting his disdain for micromanagement. This approach fosters a collaborative environment where innovation can flourish.

While AIM Group does not provide certification services, Peter recognizes the importance of certification for many of their clients, especially in the context of the resale market. He notes that certifications help build trust among users and marketplace advertisers, providing a level of assurance that can enhance customer confidence. "Certification is a great way to ensure customers feel comfortable with what they’re doing," he states.  Peter values IBEC’s work in guiding companies to attain various certifications, such as R2, RIOS, ISO 9001, among others, as it helps strengthen the organizations of the players in the reseller market.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Peter is a passionate amateur photographer, particularly fond of wildlife photography. He enjoys exploring nature in Florida to indulge in his photography hobby.  Peter loves to travel and has traveled extensively, visiting over 60 countries and all 50 US states. His love for travel is shared with his wife, who is a teacher planning to retire soon, and this promises that Peter and his wife will have more opportunities for spontaneous adventures together.

Peter’s leadership at AIM Group exemplifies a blend of innovation, empowerment, and commitment to client success. As the company continues to adapt and grow, Peter's vision and dedication will undoubtedly guide AIM Group in navigating the rapidly evolving world of digital marketplaces and recommerce.
